tether tools wireless tether is the way to go. its usb you so still have two cards to write to. 250 bucks.
The only time I would want to use that card is to use my phone as an external monitor at places I can’t really see the Live View Screen of the Camera or look through the View Finder because the Camera is too low on the ground. Other than that it’s pretty much worthless on my 5DSR to be honest…
I use the 7d mk II and an eye-fi mobi. Works great and I have storage on the card.
I was also underwhelmed by the WE1 and it is a pain as it only works in my 7D2, when I use the 5D3 I have nothing. Something you may want to look into is the CamRanger, I got one kicked in with my 7D2 and it works great. No menus on the camera, just USB2 or USB 3, join the Wifi and download.
It does not fit neatly in the body like the WE1, but when I go on vacation i bring the CamRanger.
ATG AK1 Un-Tethered Kim X3 rocks over Canon WFT & this dumb card.
* All Canon cameras that support tethered shooting to XP & 7.
* All Nikon ” ” ” ” ” ” ” ”
* Supports Hasselblad, Phase One & Sony
* Built-in wireless radio flash trigger
* ATG AF touchscreen with wireless live-view on Canon.
Thanks. I will keep my 7D2 tethered connection with the EOS Utility 3. Not impressed with all the apps for android or ios.
