$10 USB WiFi Adapter – N Wireless – 802.11n – Review

$10 buys you a USB WiFi adapter that works in almost anything, what more could you want?

I have to say the price of this is amazingly reasonable, for $10 you can add good quality WiFi to any desktop or laptop computer, either that has old/slow/broken WiFi, or none at all.

Buy this on Amazon.com:

I also reviewed the AC WiFi (802.11ac) version of this, which is three times faster for $20:

completely unrelated question:
Im going to buy a laptop, but I’m not sure if I should spend my money on a laptop with an i5 6300HQ or an i5 6200u (+GTX 940m, 8GB ram and an IPS display). I will be using it at least 5 times a week for school work, but I’m also planning on using it for photo/video editing. How much will the HQ version benefit me more compared to the U version
Since I would like my laptop to last as long as possible, and because I already have a computer with better specs (i5 + r9 270x + 8gb ram without an IPS display), would the U version be significantly better for battery life and longevity purposes, while still maintaining the ability to smoothly edit photo’s and video’s? (my photo editing will probably be 99% of creating funny pictures and my video editing will generally be some small stuff like commentary, color correction, some transitions and a few overlays).

(nice content btw 🙂
